UP Police Constable 2024 Paper Leak

The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has recently spoken out regarding speculations swirling around the purported leakage of the Uttar Pradesh constable examination 2024 paper. In their statement, the board explicitly stated that there is no substantiated evidence to support claims of any leakage occurring. They emphasized that thorough investigations have been conducted, and thus far, no proof has been found to validate the rumors. This clarification aims to assure candidates and the public of the integrity and fairness of the examination process.

Exam Details

The exam aims to fill 60,244 constable positions, attracting around 48 lakh candidates from Uttar Pradesh. Concerns about a possible paper leak surfaced on social media platforms, particularly X (formerly Twitter), raising significant attention.

Investigation Findings

Initial investigations revealed that individuals are misusing Telegram’s edit feature to spread false information and create confusion about a paper leak on social media. The UPPRPB, along with the UP Police, is closely monitoring these incidents and conducting a thorough investigation into their origins. Despite these claims, the examination is proceeding safely and smoothly.

Commitment to Transparency

The UPPRPB reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the transparency and integrity of all its examinations. After the successful completion of the exam, the board will collaborate with the UP Police to verify any unverified news circulating. Candidates are encouraged to remain assured of the process.

Arrests Made

Over the span of three days, the UP Police has arrested or detained 244 individuals suspected of cheating or planning to cheat in the police constable exam. These arrests occurred between February 15 and February 18, up to 6 PM, coinciding with the exam dates. Both district police and units of the Special Task Force (STF), aided by local intelligence, carried out these actions.

Statement from UP Police Chief

Prashant Kumar, the Uttar Pradesh police chief, emphasized that the arrested individuals are being interrogated following the filing of FIRs against them. Stringent action will be taken against individuals or groups found engaging in unfair practices during exams.
