Ahead of the Lok Sabha election schedule announcement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released a ‘open letter’ to all Indian citizens, requesting participation in developing the Union government’s “Viksit Bharat” (developed India) agenda.
Addressing the Citizens as “Dear Family Member”
In his letter, PM Modi addressed the people of India as “Dear family members,” highlighting the transformative schemes introduced by the BJP-led central government during its two terms (2014 and 2019). He emphasized the significant achievements in improving the quality of life for various segments of society, including the poor, farmers, youth, and women.
The success of Government Schemes
PM Modi highlighted the success of various government schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for pucca houses, common access to electricity, water, and LPG, free medical treatments through Ayushman Bharat, financial assistance to farmers, and support for women through Matru Vandana Yojana, among others. He credited these accomplishments to the people’s trust in him.

Highlighting India’s progress towards a developed future, PM Modi also highlighted a balanced approach towards tradition and modernity. He noted the unprecedented construction of next-generation infrastructure alongside a rejuvenation of the country’s rich national and cultural heritage.

PM Modi stressed the importance of public participation in democracy, citing it as a source of strength for making bold decisions for national welfare. He expressed his eagerness to receive ideas, suggestions, and support from citizens as they collectively work towards building a developed India. The Prime Minister expressed confidence in continuing to elevate the nation with the collective efforts of its people.
