For the first time ever, the Delhi Police will have an amazing march at the Republic Day parade on January 26th! This year, you won’t see just police officers, but a special group of strong and skilled women marching down the Kartavya Path. That’s right, it’s an all-women contingent!

This isn’t just about celebrating women though. The Delhi Police also wants to bridge the gap between the police and people from the eight northeastern states. That’s why 8 out of 10 of the women marchers are from the northeast!

And it doesn’t stop there! Some of the women are even Agniveer soldiers from the Indian Navy and Air Force. Talk about girl power!

This exciting march shows that the Delhi Police is all about equality, empowerment, and unity. It’s going to be a sight to behold on Republic Day, so make sure you don’t miss it!

The police chief, Robin Hibu, said the parade participants are all new and super excited. They’ll be representing people from the northeast in the Delhi Police. They’re all from the police force’s special armed unit, and most come from northeast states.

Hibu also said a female officer, Constable Ruyangunuo Kense, will lead the women’s band this year, making the Delhi Police even more awesome!

The Delhi Police is sending a big band of 135 people to the parade! They’ll play a special song called the “Delhi Police Song.” This year, a woman officer named Shweta K Sugathan will lead almost 200 other women police officers in a march. This is exciting because last year, the parade started including women in bands and marches. The Delhi Police is especially proud because they’ve been in every Republic Day parade since India became a republic!
